Before the day
When should I RSVP by?
Please respond by February 24, 2027. We have to give our venue a final headcount shortly after, so late responses are genuinely hard for us to accommodate. RSVP here.
Can I bring a plus one?
We've reserved seats for the names listed on your invitation, so we're not able to accommodate additional guests. If you're unsure who's included in your invitation, check your RSVP form or reach out to us directly — we're happy to clarify.
Are kids invited?
This is an adults-only celebration, unless we've specifically approved your children with you beforehand. We adore your little ones — we just want you to have a night off. If you need help finding childcare for the evening, let us know.
Who do I contact if I have a question on the day?
Please don't call the bride or groom on the wedding day. Your point of contact is Stacey Christenson, Day-of Coordinator (Kissweet Events) at (408) 307-7928. She'll be able to help with anything that comes up.
Getting there
What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive by 1:30 PM and be seated by 1:50 PM. The ceremony begins promptly at 2:00 PM, and the doors close when it starts.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes — there's open parking at both the ceremony and reception venues.
Is there transportation between the ceremony and reception?
Plan to drive yourself between venues — they're about 30 minutes apart. We'll also be providing Uber vouchers for guests heading to or from Maderas Golf Club.
Are there hotels nearby?
Yes. A few options close to the venues:
• Rancho Bernardo Inn
• Hilton Garden Inn Rancho Bernardo
• Courtyard by Marriott Rancho Bernardo
Book early — late April is a busy season in San Diego.
On the day
What's the dress code?
The dress code is Garden Chic: pastels, florals and earth tones, and shoes you can stand on grass in. Strictly no black or dark tones. White is reserved for the bride, a navy blue suit for the groom, and dusty blue for the bridal party. We put together a full guide with colors to pick from.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
[The ceremony is outdoors and the reception is indoors. / Both are outdoors under cover.] Plan for some time on grass, and bring a light layer for the evening.
What will the weather be like?
Late April in San Diego is usually lovely — highs around the mid-70s°F during the day, cooling to the high 50s°F after sunset. Bring a shawl, wrap or jacket for the evening.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We're having an unplugged ceremony — please keep phones and cameras put away until the ceremony ends. We've hired a photographer we love, and we'd rather see your faces than your screens. Once the ceremony's over, photograph everything.
What kind of food will be served?
A plated dinner — your choice of Slow Braised Beef Short Rib, Baked Stuffed Margarita Chicken, or a Vegetarian Wellington. See the full menu. Choose your entrée for each guest on the RSVP form, and let us know about any allergies or dietary needs there too — we'll make sure you're taken care of.
Will there be an open bar?
[Yes — there's a full open bar all night. / We're serving beer, wine and a signature cocktail, with a cash bar for anything else.] Either way, please drink responsibly and plan a safe ride home.
What's the money dance, and do I need cash?
It's a tradition in our families: guests pin or hand cash to the couple for a dance during the reception. It's entirely optional, but if you'd like to take part, bring small bills.
What time will the night end?
The night will end at 10:30 PM. See the full timeline.

Anything else
Where are you registered?
Everything is on our registry page — store registries, our honeymoon fund, and a few other ideas. We're setting up our first home together, so anything from the lists will get real use.
I still have a question.
Email us at ailan.lucyann2015@gmail.com or text Ailan or Lucyann. We'd much rather answer it than have you guess.
